Multiple reports at a Google forum for its Nexus 7 2012 model are complaining that the Android Lollipop 5.0 update is ‘shockingly bad’ and is like ‘Vista on a tablet’.

Google has unveiled a brand new slimmer Nexus 7, the first device to ship with Android 4.3 Jellybean.

Now that supply analysts have revealed what the iPad mini has done for Apple sales (approx 50% of its shipments of iPads in Q4) manufacturers are keener than ever to get into the 7” mini tablet market.

Instead, Apple gave us the groundbreaking iPad. Now with sub-$200 tablets springing forth like the proverbial waters of the Nile, Apple will have to rethink its iPad strategy.

If the Nexus 7 tablet has you all a-quiver, you'll only have to wait a few weeks for the first deliveries to arrive in Australia. And unlike some smartphones, it's going to be widely available from plenty of retailers.
